Stoney Bracelets
Since 2019, we have been crafting handmade gemstone bracelets for over 20,000 customers. Each stone is hand-selected in our own studio.

There are hundreds of brands selling bracelets to women. There are only a handful that truly add something to your style. The difference is not in price or marketing, but in six concrete things you can check in five minutes. Below are these points, plus which women's bracelets from our collection suit which type of woman.

What Makes a Bracelet Brand Premium (and What Doesn't)

A brand isn't premium because it's expensive. A brand is premium because every detail — from stone selection to the clasp to how it's packaged — is intentionally crafted. With many mass-market brands, you see the opposite: glossy photos, cheap stones, a clasp that wears out after three months. It looks the same. It doesn't feel the same.

1
Real Natural Stone
No glass, no synthetic materials, no dyed stones that lose their color in the wash. Ask yourself: does the brand state what stone it uses and where it comes from?
2
Handmade, Not Bulk
Bulk bracelets are uniform. Handmade bracelets have small variations in stone veining — that's not a flaw, that's proof that each piece is unique.
3
Durable Elastic
A good elastic cord (multiple layers, high quality) lasts for years. Cheap elastic becomes loose after six months. You can feel this difference immediately when you hold the bracelet.
4
Own Signature
A recognizable detail — in our case, a gunmetal cube with the SB logo — that identifies the bracelet at a glance as part of a brand, not as an anonymous bead.
5
Packaging as Part of the Product
A premium brand sees the packaging as part of the product. Not a plastic bag, but a box that feels worthy of the bracelet from the very first moment.
6
Reviews from Real People
No vague 5-star counts. But readable reviews with photos, explanations, and names. 1,800+ reviews with an average of 4.8 speak louder than any marketing claim.

"A bracelet you wear every day must continue to feel like the first day, every day. That's where quality begins."

What Type of Women's Bracelet Suits Which Type of Woman

There isn't one style that "works for all women." There are four archetypes that we most often see among our 20,000+ customers. Read which one is closest to you and choose based on that.

Minimalist
The Quiet Connoisseur Clean · Timeless

Prefers one good piece over five mediocre ones. Loves natural colors, clean lines, no glitter. Best choice: moonstone, hematite, or labradorite — subtly shimmering, never flashy.

Editorial
The Self-Aware Aesthete Moody · Statement

Deliberately chooses contrast. Loves deep hues and materials with character. Best choice: amethyst with hematite, onyx, or matte obsidian — stones with depth, worn with intention.

Warm & Natural
The Grounded One Warm · Organic

Feels at home in earth tones. Chooses something that pairs well with wood, linen, coffee. Best choice: tiger's eye, carnelian, or smoky quartz — stones that grow warmer the more you wear them.

Cool & Classic
The Timeless One Clean · Elegant

Seeks something that will still work in ten years. Loves blue, gray, white — cool tones that wear well in any season. Best choice: lapis lazuli, sodalite, or moonstone — style without an expiration date.

What to Ask Before Choosing a Brand

The quickest way to recognize a premium brand is to ask two questions before ordering. One about the stone, one about the maker.

  • What stone do you use, and is it dyed? An honest brand answers directly. An unclear answer is a red flag.
  • Who makes the bracelet and where? A premium brand knows this. For us: handmade in our own studio in the Netherlands, not outsourced.
  • What sizes are available? Serious brands offer multiple sizes (for us S, M, L) and multiple bead sizes (6mm and 8mm) so the bracelet actually fits your wrist.
  • What happens if something breaks? A brand with confidence in its product has a service policy. A brand without one lacks long-term vision.
  • How old is the brand? Not everything new is bad. But brands that have existed since 2019 and now have 20,000+ customers have proven that the product works.

Why women choose Stoney

We are not a fast-fashion brand with a quick trend cycle. We are an atelier that, since 2019, has been working on one thing: bracelets you can wear every day without them feeling fake. This means real stones (never dyed), double elastic (lasts for years), and a unique signature (the gunmetal cube) that makes the bracelet instantly recognizable as Stoney, not just an anonymous bead.

What you should not do when looking for a brand

Red flags

Never choose purely based on the cheapest price. Never choose a brand that cannot tell you where the stone comes from. Never choose a brand without visible reviews. And most importantly, never choose a brand that tries to be "all-in-one," because the best brands do one thing, and they do it well.

Choosing a size without guessing

A brand that takes the trouble to provide size advice is a brand that understands its product. Measure your wrist circumference with a tape measure (or a string and ruler). Our sizes:

  • S: 15-16 cm wrist circumference, slender women's wrist
  • M: 16-17.5 cm, average women's wrist (most chosen)
  • L: 17.5-19 cm, looser, or for layered wearing

Regarding bead size: 6mm feels more subtle and feminine, 8mm has more presence and works well in combination. Many customers choose 6mm as a single piece and 8mm for stacking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I recognize a premium women's bracelet brand?+
By six things: real natural stone (not glass or dyed beads), craftsmanship instead of bulk production, durable double elastic, a unique signature or logo, packaging that matches the product, and readable reviews from real customers. If a brand is transparent about all six, you have a premium brand.
What is the difference between a cheap and a premium women's bracelet?+
Price doesn't tell everything, but the difference lies in details: premium bracelets use real natural stone (never dyed), a stretch cord that lasts for years, a recognizable brand signature, and thoughtful packaging. Cheap alternatives copy the look, not the construction, and you'll notice that after a few months of wear.
Which women's bracelet is the most chosen at Stoney?+
The top 5 are moonstone, labradorite with moonstone, tiger's eye (gold), amethyst with hematite, and lapis lazuli. Moonstone is at the top because its soft white hue with blue shimmer works with virtually any outfit palette, day and evening.
What size women's bracelet do I need?+
Measure your wrist circumference with a tape measure or string. Size S fits 15-16 cm, M fits 16-17.5 cm, L fits 17.5-19 cm. The average women's wrist falls into M. For layered wearing, you can also choose L, so the bracelet fits a bit looser.
Is 6mm or 8mm better for women?+
6mm feels more subtle and feminine, ideal as a single piece or for a slender wrist. 8mm has more presence and works well for stacking or as a statement. Many customers choose a combination of both to create layered, stylish looks.
How do I know if a brand uses real natural stone?+
An honest brand immediately tells you which stone it uses and whether it is dyed or not. Real natural stone feels cool, has small variations in veining between stones, and retains its color. Dyed or glass imitations feel warmer, are uniform, and lose color after contact with water or perfume.
