Moonstone Bracelet

Moonstone has no colour but a light effect. Turn your wrist and a soft blue-white glow travels across the bead with you. On a good moonstone that glow really moves; on a weak one you only see milky white. That is what we sort on, and the reason we reject beads batch by batch.

Polished or matte

The polished version shows the glow most strongly and is clearest when you hold it in your hand. The matte moonstone is the same stone, blasted, which softens the effect and makes the bead look more like frosted glass. Matte is currently the more ordered of the two.

Not just a women's stone

Moonstone is often seen as feminine, but in 8mm next to a dark stone it reads completely differently. Next to hematite or lava stone moonstone turns grey with a light accent rather than romantic. That is why it does as well in the men's collection as in the women's collection.

What to combine it with

The strongest combination is moonstone with lapis lazuli: light against deep blue, with the golden pyrite in the lapis picking up the white flash of the moonstone. For a softer side, pink rhodonite in 6mm works. Ready-made, moonstone appears in several bracelet sets.
