Lapis Lazuli Bracelet

Lapis lazuli is deep royal blue with golden pyrite flecks, and those flecks are exactly where the difference lies. Too much pyrite and the stone gets busy, too little and the blue goes flat. We buy our batches on even flecking and reject the beads that fall out of tone. Also written as lapislazuli.

Polished or matte

The polished version makes the pyrite light up and is by far the most ordered. The matte lapis lazuli is the same stone, blasted, which makes the blue deeper and more muted and the gold visible only up close. Anyone wearing the bracelet under a shirt almost always picks matte.

For men and for women

Lapis lazuli is one of the few stones that works on both sides. The blue is deep enough to hold its own for men in 8mm, and clear enough not to get heavy for women in 6mm.

What to combine it with

Next to hematite it turns cool and clean, the silver-grey picking up the calm side of the blue. Next to gold tiger eye you pick up the pyrite instead and get blue with gold. Ready-made, lapis lazuli appears in several bracelet sets, including the Lapis Lazuli Set and the Pacific Set.

The right size

Measure your wrist with a tape measure and add about one and a half centimetres. The full breakdown is in the size chart. If you're between two sizes, we'll exchange it free of charge.
