Hematite Bracelet

Hematite is metallic silver-grey, not black, and noticeably heavier than any other bead in the range. That weight is the first thing people notice when they put it on. It is also the stone most people find us through, and the reason this collection is small and sharp rather than broad.

Three versions, and when to pick which

Hematite 8mm is the standard for a man's wrist: heavy, cool and with a mirror shine. Hematite 6mm is the same stone strung finer, quieter and easier to stack. Gold hematite has a warm bronze tone instead of silver-grey and stands out among dark stones without any real colour coming into play. Hematite also features in two sets.

6mm or 8mm

8mm gives hematite its weight and is the size the men's collection is strung in. 6mm wears more subtly and is the size of the women's collection. Measure your wrist and add about one and a half centimetres; the full breakdown is in the size chart. If you're between two sizes, we'll exchange it free of charge.

Caring for hematite

Hematite is fine for daily wear but does not like prolonged moisture. Take it off in the shower and the pool, and dry it if it has got wet anyway. Apply perfume and hand gel before you put it on, not after. That way the mirror shine lasts for years.

What to combine it with

Hematite is the neutral side of any stack. Next to matte obsidian it becomes a quiet combination in black and grey. Next to gold tiger eye it gives cool counterweight to warm. In 6mm hematite works as the opposite pole to moonstone and pink rhodonite. Ready-made, you'll find it in the bracelet sets.
