Stoney Bracelets
Since 2019, we have been crafting handmade gemstone bracelets for over 20,000 customers. Each stone is hand-selected in our own studio.

You stand in front of the mirror. Shirt fits well, watch on, shoes polished. But your wrist feels empty. One detail makes the difference between neat and striking. For thousands of men, that detail is a tiger's eye bracelet — the stone that looks masculine without you having to try.

Why tiger's eye is THE men's stone

Tiger's eye has something most stones lack: movement. Turn your wrist and you'll see golden streaks shift across a dark brown background. That effect is called chatoyancy — a natural play of light caused by parallel fibers of crocidolite in the quartz. No two beads are identical. That makes it a stone that gets you noticed without being flashy.

That's exactly why tiger's eye has been associated with strength, focus, and protection for centuries. Roman soldiers wore it as an amulet. Today, men choose it because it matches who they are: sharp, confident, and with an eye for detail.

Tiger's Eye — Key Facts

Hardness
7 (Mohs)
Ideal for
Everyday wear

With a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, tiger's eye is harder than glass and resistant to daily life. Showering, sports, office — this stone can handle it. That's important, because a men's bracelet you can't wear every day is useless.

What type of man wears which tiger's eye

Not every tiger's eye bracelet is the same. At Stoney Bracelets, we work with three variants, each suited to a different type of man. This is what our customers order most often — and why.

Gold Tiger's Eye
Gold Tiger's Eye Most Chosen
The classic. Warm golden-brown tones with powerful play of light. Matches everything — from a white T-shirt to a dark suit. This is the bracelet you wear every day without thinking about it.

Dark blue undertone with silvery play of light. Less warm, more mysterious. Popular with men who want something different from the standard choice — without overdoing it.

Red Tiger's Eye

Deep reddish-brown with a warm glow. The most intense variant. Best suited as an accent piece with an otherwise understated outfit. Not for every day — but when you wear it, it stands out.

Don't know which one suits you? Our customers choose gold tiger's eye in 70% of cases. It is the safest and also the most versatile choice. Undecided between blue and gold? Read the comparison in our article about tiger's eye bracelets.

6mm or 8mm: which size do you choose as a man

This is the question we get most often. The difference is greater than you think — not in centimeters, but in appearance.

Feature 6mm beads 8mm beads
Appearance Subtle, refined, less noticeable Bold, present, statement
Suits Slender wrists, business settings, stacking Wider wrists, casual, worn solo
Combining Easy to stack with 2-3 bracelets Best as a single bracelet or with a maximum of 1 extra
Watch combo Fits next to any watch without clashing Choose a watch with a larger size (42mm+)
Most ordered By men who already wear jewelry By men buying their first bracelet

Our advice: if you're buying your first tiger's eye bracelet? Go for 8mm. The chatoyance effect is more visible in larger beads, and the bracelet feels like a conscious choice — not something you put on by accident.

How to combine tiger's eye as a man

One bracelet is a choice. Two bracelets are a style. But not every combination works. These are the three stacks our customers order most often — and why they work.

The classic: tiger's eye + obsidian

Gold next to black. Warm next to cool. This is by far the most popular combination at Stoney Bracelets — and for good reason. The contrast is strong enough to stand out, but not so flashy that it's distracting. Wear it with a dark outfit and your wrist becomes the focal point.

Warm and earthy: tiger's eye + lava stone

Both stones have a rough, natural look. Lava stone is matte black, tiger eye gleams. This interplay of matte and shine adds depth without you having to think about color matching. A combination that works everywhere — from festivals to Friday afternoon drinks.

Premium stack: tiger eye + lapis lazuli

Golden brown and deep blue. This is the combination for men who know what they want. Lapis lazuli adds color without softening the overall look. Popular with customers who wear a watch and want their bracelet stack to match a steel or gold case.

"The best bracelet combination is the one you never want to take off."

Tiger eye with a watch: do's and don'ts

Most men wear their bracelet on the same wrist as their watch. That's fine — but there are rules.

01
Same wrist, different side
Wear the bracelet on the outside of your watch (towards your hand). This way, they won't clash, and each piece gets its own space.
02
Match the tone
Gold tiger eye pairs well with gold and rose gold watches. Blue tiger eye looks better with silver or gunmetal. Stoney's SB cube is always gunmetal — it matches everything.
03
Not too tight
A bracelet pressing against your watch will scratch the case. Ensure at least half a centimeter of space. When in doubt, order a size larger.
04
Maximum two
One watch plus two bracelets is the maximum. More becomes messy. If you're already wearing a thick watch, stick to one bracelet.

Care: how to keep your tiger eye looking good

Tiger eye is a hard stone, but that doesn't mean you can treat it carelessly. With a few simple habits, the chatoyance effect will remain intact for years.

Do this Avoid this
Clean monthly with lukewarm water and a soft cloth Chemical cleaners or ultrasonic cleaning
Store in a cloth pouch or separate compartment Loose in a drawer with other jewelry (scratches)
Take off when showering with soap or shampoo Leaving in direct sunlight for extended periods (fades)
Check the elastic every 6-8 months Wearing during heavy lifting or intense sports

Elastic worn out? Stoney Bracelets offers free elastic replacement. Send in your bracelet and you'll get it back within a week — as good as new. More maintenance tips can be found in our guide on keeping stone bracelets beautiful.

In summary

Tiger eye is the most versatile men's stone we know. Hard enough for daily wear, striking enough to get compliments, subtle enough to match any outfit. Start with 8mm gold tiger eye as your first bracelet. Add obsidian later if you want to stack. That's all you need.

Frequently asked questions

Is tiger eye suitable for daily wear for men?+
Yes. Tiger eye has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, making it resistant to daily wear and tear. It is harder than glass and does not scratch easily. As long as you do not expose the bracelet to chemicals or extreme force, you can wear it every day without problems.
What is the difference between gold, blue, and red tiger eye?+
All three are variants of the same quartz family. Gold tiger eye is the classic golden-brown variant with warm light play. Blue tiger eye (also called hawk's eye) has a dark blue hue with silvery streaks. Red tiger eye has become deep reddish-brown through natural heating. The hardness and durability are the same for all three.
What size tiger eye bracelet should I choose as a man?+
Measure your wrist circumference and add 1 to 1.5 centimeters. Most men wear size M (19 cm) or L (20 cm). For bead size, we recommend 8mm if you are buying your first bracelet — the chatoyance effect is more visible in larger beads.
Can I combine a tiger eye bracelet with a watch?+
Absolutely. Wear the bracelet on the outside of your watch (towards your hand) with at least half a centimeter of space between them. Gold tiger eye goes best with gold or rose gold watches, blue tiger eye with silver or gunmetal. Keep the total to a maximum of two bracelets next to your watch.
What makes Stoney Bracelets' tiger eye bracelets different?+
Each bead is hand-selected for color intensity and chatoyance effect. We only use A-grade tiger eye — no dyed or artificially treated material. Each bracelet features our characteristic gunmetal SB logo cube and comes in premium packaging.
