How to recognise real stone

Real stone feels cool and warms up slowly. The pattern differs from bead to bead, because the stone has grown rather than been cast. If you see a bracelet where every bead has exactly the same spot in the same place, you're looking at glass or dyed material. We buy generously, so we can reject beads that don't fit in.
