African Turquoise Bracelet

African turquoise is not turquoise. It's a jasper with a green base colour and dark speckling, and that's the most important thing to know before you order: don't expect bright blue. What you get is muted green with brown. Much more wearable than real turquoise, and far less prone to wear.

What's in this collection

African turquoise in 8mm and 6mm forms the core. Aqua Terra is the bluer side of the same family, sea green with brown and white veining, and the more often ordered of the two. For women and for men

Turquoise doesn't need adapting for either. For women, 6mm is the subtle route, where the green stays a colour accent. For men, 8mm next to a dark stone is the usual choice: the speckling adds texture to an otherwise calm stack.

Care

Wipe the beads clean now and then with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid cleaning products and prolonged heat and the colour stays even. That's all this stone asks for.
